How to Download and Install the New WT Sim Platform

Installing WT Sim for the First Time

Please see the video below for an in-depth explanation on downloading and installing the simulator for the first time.

Note: If you want to install the simulator software on another computer simply repeat this same process on another computer  by logging into the agreements page with your current trader ID and password and click on the link on the right of the page to download latest simulator version (or you can transfer the file you downloaded to that computer and install it.) Also note that you can only run the simulator on one computer at a time.

After you sign the agreements your page should look similar to the image below- Please click the "CLICK HERE" in yellow to download the sim file:

Your password and username for login should have been sent to you in an email titled "Your New Warrior Trading Simulator Account" From Can't find the email? Go here for next steps.

If you receive an error at the start of installation that the file has a virus, or if you receive an error message when signing in, please refer to the troubleshooting steps from these pages here.

Please Note: During the installation process, depending on how your computer is configured, you may encounter prompts from Windows. These may include User Account Control prompts asking "if you want to allow this program to make changes to the system" or from Windows Defender Firewall requesting permission to allow or deny the SIM to communicate on your network. In all cases you would want to Allow Access by clicking on the appropriate button in the window. If you deny access or click no the SIM may not install or function correctly

Using a Mac? Go here for instructions on how to install the platform via Windows on an Apple computer.

Re-installation Instructions

If you have previously installed the simulator on your system and need to uninstall and reinstall, please follow the instructions below. Note: these instructions will install the latest version (version 12).

  1. First, make sure you turn off any antivirus software or firewall as it might prevent you from installing the software.
  2. If needed, please write down your current Trader ID and password that you use to sign into the WT Sim platform.

  3. Decide if you would like to preserve any custom layouts/hotkeys, or if you would like the system to overwrite them with the default layouts. If you would like to preserve your layouts and hotkeys, proceed to step 4 now. If you would like the system to overwrite your previous files, please follow A through D below before continuing to step 4:

    1. Open up Add/Remove Programs, and uninstall the Warrior Sim.

    2. Then, open up your Files directory, locate your C: Drive > Programs > Warrior and then delete the entire Warrior file.

    3. Empty the Recycle Bin on your computer.

    4. Restart your PC.

  4. Click on this link to download the latest WT Simulator version:

  5. After the download completes, right click the install shield and click “Run as Administrator.”

  6. Go through the installation process.

  7. Once the installation is complete, double-click the shortcut on your desktop to launch the simulator.

Fix Trader ID instructions

If you need to fix your Trader ID but do not need to reinstall the Simulator, you can change your Trader ID with this guide below:

1. Right click on the Warrior Sim Logo on your desktop, Select "Properties".
2. On the window that pops up, focus on the "Target" field. At the very end of the target field, you're going to delete the portion at the very end where you see the incorrect Trader ID and input your correct Trader Id. The screen shot below has the section highlighted that you would be changing to the correct Trader ID.
3. Click "Apply". You might get an notification saying you need Administrator permission, select "Continue".
4. Then proceed to click "OK".
5. Now double click on the Warrior Trading Sim icon on your desktop to launch the simulator, and you should now see the correct Trader ID. Proceed to enter your password to login.

If you made a mistake one time and entered in Your password in the wrong section or entered something else you can simply highlight the ID section and edit it- However if you installed the sim with the wrong ID you will still need to folllow the steps in the previous guide above.
