What are the two simulators I keep hearing about?
For years, Warrior Trading has offered a simulator that is a downloadable software and requires a Windows operating system. The Warrior Trading team designed this platform with the team at Sterling, and so the platform might sometimes be referred to as the "Sterling sim," "desktop sim," "Windows-based sim," or "downloadable sim."
For the past several months, our developers, traders, and Support Team have been creating a web-based simulator platform for our community. The platform has undergone rigorous testing from both our team and our community (thank you again, Beta Testers!) and we are extremely excited to launch the software.
This new web-based platform is accessible from a web browser, and does not require a download (great news for Mac users!). Because it is browser-based, the new platform may perform differently for users with older systems, smaller processors, or many systems running simultaneously. All users should review system recommendations here.
Day Trade Dash subscribers will be delighted to know that the web simulator integrates with news, scanners, and charting. There is one limitation that community members should be aware of, which is that the software does currently require a separate browser window from our chat rooms. Therefore, the live stream, chat rooms, and News Room are all currently a separate browser tab from the simulator. However, the simulator can be linked to scanner and charting widgets -- and yes, it has live level 2 data!

When will the chat widgets be integrated with the simulator platform?
Our team aims to have the community and News Room fully integrated with the rest of our software by the end of 2026.
I already have a simulator subscription. How do I switch over to the new platform?
Our team is happy to transfer any time you have on the desktop simulator subscription over to the new platform for you, if and when you are ready. Just open a support ticket and let us know how we can help.
What will happen to my simulator metrics from the old simulator? Can I export my data from the Sterling / Windows-based simulator?
Metrics from the desktop simulator will not be carried over to the web simulator. Users can export metrics from the desktop simulator before their current subscription expires, or before July 31st (whichever comes first). Click here to see how to export metrics from the desktop simulator.
How do I access the new simulator?
A subscription or trial for the new web simulator is required to have access to the platform.
If you are a member, please visit our Member Renewal and Information page. Day Trade Dash subscribers can activate 1 free month of the simulator before September 1st here. If you do not have a membership or Day Trade Dash subscription, go here to purchase a simulator subscription.
You can see all the details for how to access the platform with active access here.

When will the old simulator (Sterling / desktop-based platform) no longer be supported?
If you still have a subscription to the desktop simulator, access will expire at your next expiration date. The desktop simulator will no longer be available for any users after July 31st. This is a firm deadline, and the Warrior Trading team will be unable to access the platform for users after this date as well.
