Personalize Your Chat Room Settings and Profile (Name and Picture)

In this article, learn how to:

Change Your Chat Room Name

To change your chat room username, please send us a ticket or a request through our Support Chat Room and let us know what you'd like your name changed to.

The display name can only be changed to a real version of your own name, such as your initials or a shortened version of your name. The last name can only display a max of 3 characters. (ex: Ross Cam can be changed to Ross C but not DayTradeWarrior).

Adjust your time zone

If you have scanner access, the time zone is connected to the exchange's server time, which is EST/ New York.

While these are not adjustable, you can now adjust your chat room time zone to either match the scanner or stay connected to your local computer clock.

To adjust your time zone for the chat from the default of your computer time:

  • Click Profile on left-hand side of the screen
  • Then Window settings
  • Adjust the Chat Timestamp Timezone from your computer's local clock to EST/ New York.
  • Click Save

Note that changing this time zone is only for the chat room dialogue and does not adjust the Scanner or Chart time zone.

Upload or Change Your Chat Room Profile Picture

Images uploaded as a chat room profile picture or "avatar" must be a .jpg or .png file type, less than 1 Mb, and less than 200x200 pixels. Square images work best.

If you need help resizing your image, please see this guide.

  1. Go to the bottom left of your chatroom and click on your "profile" section.
  2. Select Upload to upload an image for the first time (or Update if you are changing the image).
  3. Select the  .jpg or .png  image file from your computer that you wish to use.
  4. Save your profile.

Images must not mimic any of our chat room badges (listed here). Any member who would like to apply for a profitability badge must do so through the application page here. Profile images must also not contain the Warrior Trading logo, so as to not mimic the badges assigned to chat room moderators and educators.
